A great night of African music

It was non-stop dancing from the moment Harare hit the stage on Friday last.Leader Kuda Matimba also won the hearts of the audience with his between-songs chat about playing with the world-famous Bhundu Boys, his fellow band members in Harare and the recent birth of his daughter Tanaka, after whom the bands latest CD is named. At the end of the two hour live show many members of the audience stayed behind to thank the band and the Community Centre committee for such a great night – and there was as much praise for the food on offer, a buffet of cold North African and Middle Eastern dishes.Special mention should be made of the Welsh Arts Councils Night Out scheme which underwrote the show.
