Tickets are now on sale for a great night’s entertainment on October 10th at Knighton Community Centre going under the title Electro Swing ViBe.Electro Swing is a dance craze attracting large audiences across the country and based around vintage swing era dance styles, with enthusiasts even dressing in the clothes of the period.
An eclectic night’s entertainment is promised, including award winning burlesque star Oh! Carolina performing a 1920s themed bed of nails act and The Hammer Head circus act as well as gypsy jazz music played liveby Aberystwyth-based Chocolat. Vintage swing sounds will be performed live by the band Gardenia Swing and later a variety of DJs will be adding a modern dance music edge to early swing recordings.
The evening kicks off at 6.30pm so that early-birds can enjoy learning some Charleston and jazzy swing moves to show off later in the evening.Food will be on sale, prepared by caterer Mules Fuel.Tickets are £12.50 in advance from The Tower House Gallery, Knighton or £15.00 on the door.
