Plans are afoot to make the May 25th market a bit special.Weve dubbed it the “Spring into Summer” market, in recognition that the year is finally starting to warm up, and were also launching our new name, Knighton Community Market, with more family-friendly image.
Were hoping to have lots more stalls, live music and entertainment. The local karate group is planning to put on a demonstration of their skills. An arts workshop will be inviting 8 to 13 year olds to “Paint the Town” between 10am and 1pm (a £1.50 fee will cover all paint and all other materials). Also mainly for the kids, a competition will be held to name the sheep featured in our new market logo (see the Community Market page a see if she looks like a Eunice, a Nora Knighton, a… well, you get the idea).
More details to be announced as the events planning develops.
