This Sunday October 8th, Knighton Community Centre welcomes five highly regarded Scottish musicians collectively known as Moishes Bagel. Performing an infectious and highly danceable blend of klezmer and gypsy jazz with hints of Middle Eastern and Balkan rhythms to spice the mix, the band has played sell out gigs at major venues like Londons Jazz Cafe, The Sage Gateshead, St George’s Bristol and Edinburgh Queens Hall. Their past CD releases have earned major accolades likeworld music magazine Songlines Top of the World selection and placing in the Sunday Telegraphs top 10 world albums. To further enhance the breadth of experience on the bands CV, their latest album features the bands original score for Soviet silent film classic “Salt for Svanetia”!
