Visit by young Palestinians under way!

After spending hours of their first day stuck in the tailback from an accident on the M25, Knightons young Palestinian visitors finally arrived at their destination at 10pm Friday and immediately sat down to a big dinner set out in the Reynolds Room. Most of us would have been exhausted after such a journey but they seemed raring to go and though many of us in town had made up our spare bedrooms aware that the dodgy weather forecast for today would put many of the group off the camp site set up for them, the group decision was for sleeping under canvas (or whatever modern tents are made of).
Today the group enjoyed a morning of larking about by and in the River Teme, then when the rain started it was time for a music workshop in the Community Centre followed by dinner and then back to the camp site, just in time for the grey skies to break and a lovely sunset.
Follow the groups experiences on their blog athttp://2013commonground.blogspot.co.uk/, where there should be lots of photos of the trip as the days go by.
