Once again, Knighton Community Centre is the venue for an impressive show and once again the small audience attracted leaves a question mark over any similar events in future.
Last weekend's Electro Swing night attracted enthusiastic fans of the music style from as far afield as Staffordshire and Machynlleth, yet only a handful of Knightonians were up for something new - and it was a great night. Yesterday's pro-wrestling show was another good night's entertainment brought into the area at some expense to the promoter. Again the small audience of locals had a great time. Again the promoter and the centre lost money and will think twice about bringing in similar shows.
Will promoters continue to risk money bringing shows to Knighton - and will the community centre management continue to keep the venue's doors open with desperately little income during the expensive winter months? On both counts, Knighton people need to realise what's at stake.
