Upcoming events.........
First of all there will be an introduction to Kundalini Yoga & Meditation in aid of Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association, an organisation promoting human rights and respect for international humanitarian law in Abu Dis, Palestine. The event will be held in the Reynolds Room from 11.00 am to about 3.00 pm on 16th March. The teacher is Hari Sadhana Kaur (known to many of you as Kuwant Sidhu). Those wishing to take part should have an early but light breakfast at least 3hrs before, arrive 15 minutes before hand, bring a vegetarian or vegan dish for a shared lunch for all participants, wear loose and comfortable clothing, and bring a yoga mat, blanket, cushion to sit on and bottle of water. Call 01547 560 218 or email yogimouse@me.com to book a place and note there will be a collection in aid of CADFA to promote human rights in Palestine. Then on March 19th at 7.30pm Teme Valley Environmental Group is hosting a meeting on the state of the River Teme. It's in the Reynolds Room and open to all. On March22nd it's Community Market time and there will be a demonstration of how to use a knitting machine, postponed from last Saturday. The town's wonderfully successful Karate group is holding a coffee morning on March 23rd in the Reynolds Room. Entry is free and tea, coffee, cakes etc will be on sale, plus there'll be a raffle and a karate demo. It's in aid of the Samurai GB squad going to Japan next month to compete in the Kawata Cup and the event runs from 11.00am to 3.00pm. The market on April 12th will be an Easter Special, with a kids' craft workshop and other child-friendly activities, as well as a knit-in for peace (see the panel below for more on this) and hopefully a generous helping of live music in the cafe area. And on April 26th it's Knighton's Got Talent time. This year there's a movie theme so if you want to compete you need to make sure your act, whatever it be, fits that theme, then get along to the Clock Tower Tea Rooms or CCF in Ludlow Road to sign up. There's a bar from 7.00 and tickets cost 7 pounds or 2 pounds for under-16s.
