Youth Work Positions

KNIGHTON TOWN COUNCIL AND KNIGHTON COMMUNITY CENTRE

Youth Workers (2) – 20 hours a week £10.50 / hour
Coordinator – 9 hours a week £15.00 / hour
Funded by the UK Renewal Fund until 30/6/2022

Knighton Town Council and Knighton Community Centre are delighted to be successful in obtaining funding to kickstart the youth service in Knighton.

Would you like to be involved in planning and designing a new youth work service for young people aged 11 – 25?

The first phase of our project is to consult with as many young people in Knighton as possible and their parents and carers about what kind of service they want. The second phase is to provide a series of taster sessions, trips and even a residential weekend to see what is successful. The Youth Workers will work directly with young people, whilst the Coordinator will assess local needs, make contact with other organisations providing services to young people, collate the views of young people, parents and carers and create a plan to take services forward. The project is supported by a small joint Steering Group. We would like to start as soon as possible.
