There's just one more market before Christmas, this Saturday, December 17th, and you can expect 30 stalls of unique hand-crafted gifts and locally produced food and produce squeezed into the Drill Hall. With everything under one roof, parking just yards away, a great cheap cafe to relax in and a warm welcoming atmosphere, it's a world away from the big city Christmas shopping scrum - and it's right here in Knighton. From early to 12.30pm.
We'd like to take this opportunity to say "Happy Christmas" to all our lovely market-goers. Your support makes possible this great twice monthly Knighton event. Let's hope the momentum continues to build through 2017!
It was hard work moving all our furnishings and essential equipment out of the Community Centre before the builders moved in. Now the builders have their fence around the centre and our activities have been conducted over the road in the Army cadets' Drill Hall for two weeks now without a hitch. As well as weekly regulars like the karate club, Slimming World, Welsh classes and Monday night Zumba, we've also held two wonderfully successful markets, a monthly auction day, a great live folk night with the Mellstock Band - and last night we wound up our Flicks-in-the-Sticks season in crowd pleasing style with the hilarious Absolutely Fabulous Movie. Check out the pictures below showing stalls at today's Community Market.
