Knighton Community Centre’s Comedy and Curry Night, recently postponed when it was found to clash with the town’s May Fair, has been rescheduled and is now confirmed for June 25th, with a new line-up once again put together by The Comedy Club.
Curry will be served from 7-30 to all who book their tickets in advance. The comedy entertainment will kick off an hour later with the night’s host, Danny Deegan, whose witty, charming style, compared by one reviewer to Dave Gorman, has made him one of the busiest stand-ups on the UK scene. He’ll be introducing the fresh, punchy, gag-driven comedy of Jonathan Elston, described by one experienced TV comedy writer as being reminiscent of a young, cheaper Ricky Gervais! Headlining will be Belfast-born Ryan McDonnell, who, according to one review of last year’s Edinburgh Comedy Festival, delivers “Apollo quality live comedy”.
Tickets £16 from Spar in town or online by following the Skiddle link below. It's an over 18s only event with bar all night and DJ after the comedy up to midnight. Doors open 7.00, food is served 7.30 sharpish and that way we'll be ready to kick off the show at 8.30.
